Completed in 2008, the New Leaf Market project was an extensive, 14,000 square foot renovation project that includes expansion into an adjacent tenant space. The store was owner occupied during the entire renovation, which included 3 phases, the relocation of restroom facilities, kitchen, and deli, as well as improvements to the exterior building shell. AL+W coordinated design efforts with both a kitchen consultant, and store planner. The project also included expansion and improvements to the retail space, additional administrative space, and support space upgrades. The store was re-designed to incorporate a contemporary, open-market concept. By utilizing open ceilings, exposed building structure, environmentally friendly materials, energy-conscious design, and through the innovative use of color, tile, and flooring materials, a dynamic and inviting space was created.
