The Manor @ Midtown project was a conversion of a 27,000-square foot, mid-1960s furniture store for use as a multi-tenant retail building in Midtown Tallahassee. The existing structure was comprised of exposed steel frame, extensive glazed storefront, metal awnings, and brick masonry construction.

We were challenged to create an inviting main entrance, link the parking of an adjacent parcel through an adjacent office building into the “mall” area, and develop a pedestrian link around the adjacent office building with a series of covered walks. The proposed solution features the introduction of a rotunda as a welcoming form for the main entrance, and manipulation of geometry and color to create a lively interior mall environment.
