The two-level facility is organized for both efficiency and flexibility. The ground level includes four batting cages, equipment storage, and a new bullpen to support pitching development. Above, a second-floor fielding practice area and viewing space offer additional training capacity and opportunities for observation and coaching, connected seamlessly to the existing soccer–softball concourse through a ramped link and vertical circulation.
Structurally, the building utilizes a steel frame with bow chord trusses to achieve the clear spans required for open, adaptable training spaces. The architectural expression balances contemporary performance-driven design with FSU’s campus character, pairing modern construction with brick and stone detailing that reflects the University’s Collegiate Gothic traditions—creating a facility that is both purpose-built for athletes and rooted in place.
