“IGNITE Tallahassee is a place where entrepreneurs and researchers can genuinely see themselves as part of something transformative. It’s exciting to watch the community come together, explore the space and connect with the innovators shaping the future right here in Tallahassee.”

Program Director, IGNITE Tallahassee

The design integrated over 30 laboratories alongside more than 20 private offices and multiple meeting rooms of varying sizes, blending quiet workspaces with open collaboration environments so post-graduate founders can concentrate when needed and connect when it matters. The design also includes event and seminar spaces to support workshops, industry partnerships, and public-facing programming.
IgniteFSU is one of the first of several higher-education and industry-driven facilities planned for Florida State University’s Southwest Campus. In the near future, new student housing, classrooms, and additional university facilities will surround this site, creating a vibrant ecosystem that links research, learning, and innovation.

IgniteTallahassee establishes a model for how universities can anchor future growth. This project underscores the importance of blending collaborative and private environments, integrating specialized use spaces, and designing with both current needs and long-term campus expansion in mind.
