Thomasville Hotel / Mixed-Use Building Study

This project consisted of a detailed study for a future new mixed-use building in downtown Thomasville, GA. Embracing the city’s culture, history, and charm, the design pays homage to the local fabric and context while establishing a vision for the future of Thomasville. The new hotel will support a new wave of visitors, encouraged by the walkability of the downtown area’s brick paved streets and wide sidewalks. It aims to meet the city’s need to accommodate its healthy tourism and provide important urban infill with proportions and materiality authentic to the historic fabric, while continuing Thomasville’s trend of appealing to a new generation of visitors.
